Senior Engineer, SAP RNI — Cardinal Health, Inc.

Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Engineer to support the SAP Pharma Rebates and Incentives (RNI) team. This role will design, improve and manage SAP and Vistex-supported solutions for billbacks, chargebacks, rebates, compliance and related areas across Pharma and 3PL business segments. The role requires leadership in workshops, fit/gap analysis, solution validation, and driving business value while minimizing customizations.
Responsibilities
- Execute and manage SAP/Vistex (S4/V4 and ECC) functionality for Pharma and 3PL business segments covering billbacks, chargebacks, rebates, compliance and related processes.
- Plan and sequence end-to-end design workshops; facilitate workshops as needed.
- Guide fit/gap analysis and validate design decisions made by less experienced team members.
- Ensure deviations from out-of-the-box functionality have strong business justification and positive value proposition.
- Identify synergies and optimization opportunities within the RNI domain and manage execution.
- Test solutions as required and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
- Drive end-user satisfaction using defined metrics and provide leadership during problem solving and crisis management.
- Own solutions for defects, enhancements, and new-build projects for RNI.
- Influence clients and partners to leverage out-of-the-box solutions to reduce customizations.
- Contribute to effort estimates, prepare proposals, and collaborate with functional partners to deliver value-add solutions.
- Collaborate with other process tower leaders (OTC, PTP, RTR and non-SAP systems) to ensure cohesive, non-disruptive solutions.
- Support prioritization meetings for enhancements and defects with RNI functional partners.
- Ensure critical RNI processes are monitored, alerted, and work to automate recurrent incidents.
- Be accountable for IT controls, SOX compliance, and audit findings on the SAP Pharma platform.
- Own KPIs and BPM metrics that support current and future Pharma business units on SAP.
Qualifications
- 8–12 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Strong functional and configuration knowledge in Vistex modules with focus on billbacks, chargebacks, supplier rebates, customer rebates and compliance.
- Experience with global SAP aspects such as enterprise structure, master data, sales order processing and purchasing functions.
- Hands-on interface experience between SAP-to-SAP and SAP-to-non-SAP systems; experience handling IDoc issues preferred.
- Experience with V4/S4 implementations preferred.
- Strong business acumen in pharmaceutical wholesale distribution preferred.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical capabilities and solutions.
- Familiarity with ASAP, Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Experience directing teams to manage and troubleshoot complex interfaces across multiple systems and middleware (examples: Salesforce, Order Express, Manhattan, SAP MDG, IBM MDM, IDM, EDI, ECM, IronPort, PlanetPress, etc.) preferred.
- Ability to apply advanced knowledge to manage a wide variety of projects, develop policies and procedures, recommend new practices/processes/metrics, and lead complex projects.
- Experience mentoring less experienced colleagues and independently determining methods to complete new projects while aligning to overall objectives.

- Anticipated salary range: $123,400 - $176,300
