Job Description:
SAP BASIS Administrator
Location: Remote, United States (Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Administrator to manage and maintain our client's SAP systems. This role is responsible for the technical infrastructure of SAP systems, including installation, upgrades, patching, and configuration to ensure high availability, performance, and security. The ideal candidate will support SAP NetWeaver and be responsible for core Basis functions while working as part of a large, collaborative SAP team. This is a fully remote position requiring work during EST hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAP NetWeaver ABAP/JAVA systems.
- Monitor system performance, perform load balancing, and optimize database and application server resources.
- Manage the transport management system (TMS) for moving changes between development, quality assurance, and production landscapes.
- Perform backups, restores, and database monitoring, specifically with SAP HANA and SQL Server.
- Serve as the technical lead in resolving system errors, dumps, and connectivity issues.
- Support a legacy ECC system while embracing and implementing newer SAP technologies like S/4HANA.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in SAP Basis administration is required. Flexibility may be considered for the right candidate.
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience with SAP HANA and SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Hana Cockpit, Hana Studio, and Solution Manager Configuration (Charm, System Monitoring, Document Management).
- Proficiency in Linux, Unix, and Windows server environments, including familiarity with AWS.
- Experience with the ECC legacy system.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to work EST hours.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SAP BTP services and landscape design.
- Understanding of SAP S/4HANA (Cloud or On-Premise).
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and API management.
- Experience with BOBJ configuration and administration.
- SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA.
- SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration.
