Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior SAP SD / Order-to-Cash Functional Consultant to support New Product Introduction (NPI)initiatives. This role will be responsible for ensuring that new products across hardware, software, and services are fully configured in SAP and ready for revenue generation from Day 1. The consultant will work closely with Product, Pricing, Finance, Engineering, and IT teams to enable seamless order-to-cash execution for new product launches.
Key Responsibilities
NPI Enablement & Execution
- Own end-to-end SAP SD configuration for new product launches.
- Ensure pricing, billing, revenue, and fulfillment readiness before go-live.
- Translate NPI business requirements into SAP design, configuration, and process flows.
- Manage multiple concurrent NPIs in a high-velocity, deadline-driven environment.
SAP SD Configuration & Pricing
- Configure and support SAP SD components including:
- Sales documents
- Item categories
- Schedule lines
- Pricing procedures
- Condition techniques
- Billing plans
- SD-FI integration
- Design and support complex pricing models, including tiered, volume-based, progressive, and consumption-based pricing.
- Ensure SAP configurations are accurate and aligned with revenue-impacting business requirements.
Serial Number & High-Volume Processing
- Support large-scale serial number processing scenarios, including volumes of 50K–70K+ records.
- Design and support bulk upload mechanisms using custom programs and BAPIs.
- Implement validation logic to ensure accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
Integration & Technical Collaboration
- Support integrations with Salesforce and other external systems.
- Work with IDoc-based and file-based interfaces.
- Understand and manage delta-handling limitations in file-based integration scenarios.
- Perform ABAP debugging to troubleshoot pricing, billing, order, and interface issues.
- Collaborate with technical teams on enhancements including user exits, BADIs, and routines.
Order-to-Cash Governance
- Ensure accurate order capture, pricing validation, billing flow, and revenue-related configuration.
- Support order simulation, pricing testing, and validation scenarios.
- Implement controls for order acknowledgment, validations, release processes, and exception handling.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between Business, IT, Product, Finance, and Engineering teams.
- Support UAT, go-live, post-go-live stabilization, and issue resolution.
- Partner with NPI owners to meet tight product release timelines.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–10+ years of SAP SD / OTC functional experience.
Strong hands-on experience in:
- Order management
- Pricing
- Billing
- SD-FI integration
- Revenue flow
- Must have hands-on ABAP debugging capability.
- Experience with SAP Queries, Infosets, pricing tables, and condition techniques.
- Experience working with interfaces, including IDocs and file-based integrations.
- Proven experience supporting NPI, product launch, or product lifecycle processes.
- Strong ability to manage high-volume, high-priority, and deadline-driven business scenarios.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-tech, semiconductor, software, or product-based companies.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience with Revenue Accounting and Reporting, Global Trade Services, or software/licensing monetization models.
- Familiarity with complex product, service, subscription, or consumption-based pricing structures.
