Role: SAP S/4HANA AMS Consultant (QM /PP)
Location: Remote + 25% Travel
Duration: 6+ months Contract
Position Description:
Provide AMS L2/L3 support and continuous improvement for SAP S/4HANA QM (Primary) and PP (Secondary), ensuring stable manufacturing and quality execution (planning through production confirmations and inspection to usage decision), timely incident/problem resolution within SLAs, and controlled delivery of small enhancements and changes.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide L2/L3 AMS support for SAP S/4HANA PP and QM across incidents, service requests, and defects; meet agreed SLAs.
• Troubleshoot end-to-end manufacturing and quality issues: master data, execution errors, integrations, and posting failures; perform RCA and implement permanent fixes.
• Support QM processes: incoming/in-process/final inspection, inspection lots, results recording, defects/notifications, usage decision, batch/serial considerations, certificates/CoA (where applicable).
• Support PP processes: MRP/MRP Live, planned orders, production orders, BOM/routings, work centers, capacity, order release, confirmations, GI/GR, backflush, variances (process-dependent).
• Execute configuration changes (SPRO) and small enhancements; coordinate transports and deployment across DEV/QA/PRD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: MM, WM/EWM, PM, SD, FI/CO, and interfaces (MES/LIMS, barcode/RF, PI sheets, IDocs/APIs).
Required Skills & Experience
• 4–8+ years SAP QM and/or PP experience with hands-on AMS/support exposure (incident/problem/change).
• Strong QM configuration and troubleshooting knowledge: inspection types, sampling procedures, results recording, UD, catalogs/codes, Q-notifications.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools/processes (ServiceNow/Jira), SLA-driven prioritization, and RCA methods (5 Whys/Fishbone).
Education / Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
• SAP PP and/or SAP QM certification preferred.
