About The Role
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior SAP Basis Administrator, responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, performance, and compliance of enterprise SAP Financial Systems running on DB2 and SAP HANA databases across AIX/Linux platforms.
DAY TO DAY:
- Ensure 24x7 availability and stability across the SAP landscape (ECC, BW, GRC, Portal, SLT, SolMan, etc.)
- Perform daily system health checks, proactive monitoring, and performance analysis
- Troubleshoot production issues including batch failures, memory dumps, transport failures, and workload bottlenecks
- Manage SAP transports (TMS) and CHARM deployments for change governance
- Apply SAP security notes, patches, kernel updates, and support packs using SUM
- Conduct system refreshes, client copies, and environment builds
- Support SAP systems running on DB2 (LUW) and SAP HANA
- Assist with database performance tuning and HADR / disaster recovery validation
- Collaborate with DBAs, infrastructure, functional, and security teams
- Participate in on-call rotation and annual disaster recovery exercises
Must Haves:
- 10+ years of SAP Basis administration experience in enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience supporting SAP ECC and related components
- Solid knowledge of DB2 (LUW)
- Working experience with SAP HANA database administration
- Experience managing transports (TMS) and CHARM
- Experience with system refreshes, upgrades, migrations, and patching using SUM
- Strong troubleshooting skills across ABAP and Java stacks
- Experience supporting SAP on AIX and/or Linux
- Production support experience in a 24x7 regulated environment
Compensation
Hourly Rate: 55$-58$ per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
