Job Title: SAP Cutover/Deployment Lead
Primary Location: Lisle, IL (Hybrid) Onsite
Position Type: Contract to Hire or C2C - must be able to be onsite in Lisle IL 4 days a week. If relocating, no relocation help.
This role will accept H1B visas - must show in the resume that you have experience moving and lead from a legacy system to SAP not just doing upgrades. The expected salary range for this position is $80/hr w2 to $90/hr c2c , depending on experience and qualifications. This position exists to provide project leadership and coordination across multiple IT workstreams, focusing on Deployment/Cutover Coordination, Testing Coordination, Legacy System Remediation, and alignment with PMO governance-particularly in large-scale system implementations like SAP S/4HANA. What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5 6+ years of IT project management experience, ideally within software development and enterprise environments
Lead planning and execution of pre-cutover, cutover, and post-cutover activities in deployment management and legacy systems remediation
Familiarity with ADO and JIRA for task and project tracking
SAP S/4HANA implementation experience (preferred)
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, especially with senior leadership
PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certification (preferred) What You'll Do (Skills Used in this Position)
Deployment/Cutover Coordination
Lead planning and execution of pre-cutover, cutover, and post-cutover activities
Create deployment plans, checklists, and resource strategies
Manage go/no-go decisions, integration timelines, and cutover task lists
Deliver on key deployment milestones for Pre-Go-Live, Go-Live, and Post Go-Live
Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and PMO leadership
Testing Coordination
Coordinate testing activities and ensure completion of all test phases
Facilitate extract preparation, documentation, and test resources
Oversee integration and SIT testing sign-offs across legacy systems
Communicate effectively with development teams, testers, and business stakeholders
Legacy System Remediation
Identify and manage the decommissioning or integration of legacy systems
Oversee data migration, system compatibility, and issue remediation
Maintain issue trackers and provide consistent project reporting
PMO Activities
Support PMO deliverables, tracking, and status updates
Ensure alignment to project governance using ServiceNow (SNOW)
Contribute to the development of methodologies and tools This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
