IT MANAGER – BEEF PLANT SYSTEMS
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for aIT MANAGER – BEEF PLANT SYSTEMSfor JBS that reports onsite at the corporate office in Greeley, Colorado.
This position is responsible for providing and managing information technology applications used in manufacturing, shipping, warehousing and quality control functions. This position is responsible for getting user requirements definition, software design, configuration and interface, software selection, coordination for software development activities, installation, user training, and support.
Position requires effective project management and communication with plant teams, corporate and plant leadership and other IT groups for timely delivery of technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and implementing solutions to continually enhance systems used in meat manufacturing locations
- Managing project pipelines, priorities, and staff
- Providing specifications for technical enhancements
- Promoting team-oriented relationship with IT customers and peers
- Providing reliable and timely interfaces to SAP cost, master data, distribution data
- Documenting systems and processes – technical documentation, process documents, and end user training
- Work with business teams to understand current pain points and design solutions to meet the gap
- Mentoring, coaching and developing team members
- Perform related tasks as requested
- Travel to JBS Beef and Pork plant locations to analyze current information control systems deployed at that site
- During the visit to each location, collaborate with the local leadership team, supervisors, production workers to understand their needs and requirements for efficient manufacturing processes
- Develop documentation outlining all end-user requirements, current process, and system limitations to improve system design
- Develop software gap list with input from plant team, information technology teams, and business super users. Convert gap list into actionable user requirement matrix
- Review/Approve functional specification documents based on requirements from each plant and collaborate with technical teams (programmers, database administrators, server administrators) to prioritize projects
- Responsible to perform project management activities to support all software development life cycle activities including post-implementation support
- Assists with corporate-mandated IT-related projects and initiatives as assigned. This may include duties such as system usage review, transition to new technology/tools, testing, and validation of new business processes with enhanced tools
- Mentor team members within information technology team to enhance their skillset
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in computer information systems, computer science, industrial engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Must have at least 6 years of experience with manufacturing, shipping, and ERP systems
- Must have at least 6 years of experience with meat production, quality assurance, shipping/distribution, and financial accounting applications related to manufacturing
- Solid project leadership experience with multi -site implementations
- Ability to listen, understand and facilitate process improvements
- Excellent communication skills and relational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of urgency in relation to customer service
- Able to work independently with minimal direction
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, traveling roughly 35% of the time
- Required hands-on experience in T-SQL database queries.
- Broad understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence methodologies.
- Understanding of software developmentlifecycle and methodologies.
- Preferred experience configuring and installing hardware such as printers and barcode scanners.
- Preferred hands-on experience in manufacturing and/or warehouse processes.
- Experience with and understanding of IT Change Management processes.
- Strong technical and functional writing skills and the ability to present information in various forms such as textual, graphical and statistical.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio flowcharts, Project and SharePoint); (MS Office 2010 proficiency required).

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $100,000-$110,000;
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and

The posted salary range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the compensation that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, tenure, internal equity, market data, and may vary accordingly.
