Description
:We are seeking an experienced SAP Logistics Execution (LE) Functional Consultant to support and enhance our supply chain and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA environments, with hands-on experience in Logistics Execution, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and Transportation processes. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to deliver innovative, scalable, and business-focused SAP solutions
Key Responsibilities
Product Delivery & Solution Development
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP Logistics Execution (LE) enhancements and medium-sized projects using agile and product-oriented methodologies.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational objectives and translate them into functional requirements, process flows, technical specifications, prototypes, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) process workshops to identify opportunities for optimization and digital transformation.
- Configure and support SAP LE modules, including:
- Enterprise Structure
- Inventory Management (IM)
- Warehouse Management (WM)/Stock Room Management
- Handling Unit Management
- Batch Management
- Shipping and Transportation processes (LE-TRA)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across logistics, procurement, manufacturing, and transportation functions
Innovation, Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Leverage SAP Joule and other AI-enabled technologies to improve operational efficiency, enhance decision-making capabilities, and optimize business processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, standardization, and process simplification across multiple business units and manufacturing facilities.
- Work closely with data, integration, and architecture teams to support API-driven solutions, improve master data quality, and increase end-to-end supply chain visibility.
- Recommend innovative solutions that align with the organization's digital transformation strategy.
Operational Support & Service Excellence
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 application support for SAP Logistics Execution processes and related systems.
- Participate in an on-call support rotation to ensure continuity of critical business operations
- Support major system releases, upgrades, and deployments through HyperCare activities and post-go-live stabilization
- Assist operations teams on the shop floor when required to troubleshoot logistics and warehouse-related issues
- Analyze and optimize inbound and outbound logistics processes, transportation execution, and EDI/IDoc integrations
Quality, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all SAP solutions comply with corporate IT standards, cybersecurity policies, audit requirements, and SAP best practices
- Develop and execute unit testing plans and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation, process flows, and configuration records
- Support organizational change management initiatives and end-user adoption effort
- Contribute to continuous improvement of governance, development, and support processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience supporting and configuring SAP ECC 6.0 and/or SAP S/4HANA (Cloud or On-Premise).
- Strong expertise in SAP Logistics Execution (LE), including:
- Inventory Management (IM)
- Warehouse Management (WM)/Stock Room Management
- Handling Unit Management
- Batch Management
- Shipping and Transportation (LE-TRA)
- Proven experience participating in multiple full lifecycle SAP implementation project
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skill
- Demonstrated ability to bridge business requirements and technical solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SAP Transportation Management (TM) fundamentals
- Exposure to SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
- SAP certification in Logistics Execution, EWM, Transportation Management, or related modules
- Experience integrating SAP with external Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and third-party logistics platforms
- Understanding of freight planning, freight costing, and freight settlement processes in SAP S/4HANA
- Experience supporting multi-site or multi-plant manufacturing and distribution environments
- Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools such as SAP Joule, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies
Working Environment
- Primarily office-based with periodic interaction in manufacturing and warehouse environments for requirements gathering, testing, troubleshooting, and HyperCare support
- Approximately 20% travel required, with travel demands potentially increasing during major implementation projects, system deployments, and strategic business initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams and business stakeholders.
