SAP Corporate Business Development operates at the strategic crossroads of innovation and growth, positioned in the heart of Silicon Valley. Our team identifies, cultivates, and accelerates strategic partnerships, alliances, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and business opportunities that extend SAP’s reach and reinforce its position as a global leader in enterprise software.
We work closely with SAP’s business units, product teams, and executive leadership to unlock new revenue streams, forge transformative partnerships, execute strategic transactions, and bring cutting-edge solutions to market faster.
What You’ll Do
As a Corporate Business Development Intern, you’ll be immersed in the fast-paced world of strategic partnerships, M&A, and strategic investments at the epicenter of global technology innovation. Working alongside seasoned corporate business development professionals, you’ll contribute to initiatives that shape how SAP grows, partners, and invests across the broader tech ecosystem.
Your Key Responsibilities:
· Market & Ecosystem Research: Explore high-growth technology sectors central to SAP’s strategy, including Artificial Intelligence, Cloud & AI Platforms, Data & Analytics, Supply Chain, and Sustainability, to identify potential partners, acquisition targets, and investment opportunities
· Market Landscape Analysis: Map competitive and complementary ecosystems, evaluate potential partnership and acquisition targets, and develop strategic recommendations for engagement
· Opportunity Assessment: Analyze business cases for prospective partnerships, acquisitions, and investments, including market sizing, strategic fit, financial considerations, and value creation potential
· Industry & Competitive Intelligence: Track market trends, competitor M&A activity, partnership announcements, and ecosystem developments to inform strategic decision-making
· Knowledge Base Management: Maintain and enhance databases of partner profiles, acquisition targets, investment pipeline, relationship histories, and strategic opportunity tracking
· M&A & Partnership Activity Reporting: Monitor and report on M&A transactions, investment rounds, and partnership trends in the global enterprise software market
· Strategic Project Support: Contribute to presentations, deal materials, analyses, and cross-functional initiatives as directed by the Corporate Business Development team

Qualifications:
· Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program at an accredited university (Business, Finance, Strategy, Economics, Technology Management, or related field preferred)
· Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for technology, innovation, and the startup ecosystem
· Self-motivated learner who takes initiative and thrives with minimal supervision
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights
· Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver quality work in fast-moving environments
· Strong analytical and research skills with meticulous attention to detail
· Genuine interest in M&A, strategic investments, partnerships, and the enterprise technology landscape
