SAP Datasphere Expert

We are looking for an experienced SAP Datasphere Integration & Migration Specialist to support a greenfield implementation of SAP Datasphere, replacing an existing on-prem Informatica-based data integration landscape. The role involves designing, building, and operationalizing data ingestion, transformation, and export pipelines from on-prem source systems into SAP Datasphere, and onward integration with SAP SuccessFactors IMDB.
This role requires strong hands-on capability, not just conceptual knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement SAP Datasphere data models, views, and data flows to replace existing Informatica mappings.
Integrate on-prem source systems with SAP Datasphere and enable downstream consumption by SuccessFactors IMDB.
Recreate and optimize ETL logic (joins, transformations, filters, derivations) currently built in Informatica.
Ensure data structure and object parity between legacy Informatica outputs and SAP Datasphere (tables, fields, data types, keys).
Perform data validation and reconciliation, including:
Record counts and aggregates
Key-level comparisons
Business rule validation
Support parallel runs and obtain business sign-off for migrated data.
Collaborate with functional, business, and downstream teams to resolve data discrepancies.
Prepare technical documentation for data models, mappings, and validation outcomes.
Key Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere (data modeling, data flows, integrations).
Solid understanding of ETL concepts and prior experience with Informatica or similar tools.
Experience integrating on-prem data sources with cloud data platforms.
Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation.
Experience validating structural and semantic data consistency during migrations.
Understanding of SuccessFactors / HR data models (preferred).
Ability to work independently in greenfield implementation and migration programs.
Clear communication and ownership mindset for delivery and data quality.
Design and implement data models in SAP Datasphere using Data Builder, Business Builder, CDS views, semantic models, and analytical models
Develop data pipelines: ingestion, transformation, replication flows, real-time and batch data synchronization across SAP and non‑SAP systems
Integrate Datasphere with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW systems, and cloud/third‑party sources
Configure spaces, data access controls (DAC), and scoped roles to govern user permissions
Implement and monitor ETL/ELT processes, data quality checks, cleansing routines, and performance optimization
Collaborate with stakeholders, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and support analytics teams
Ensure data governance, security, and compliance; manage metadata and tenant administration tasks
Support reporting solutions, often in conjunction with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, or Analysis for Office
