The Utilities Principal Consultant/Architect will evaluate and recommend IS-Utilities solutions, focusing on strategic business benefits and leading clients in their digital transformation journey. This role requires a deep understanding of the Utilities Industry and SAP’s IS-Utilities solution, along with strong leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and recommend IS-Utilities solutions and focus on the short and long-term strategic business benefits
- Help define our client’s core strategic road map and provide leadership in their digital transformation journey
- Understand the high-level business requirements of our customers and translate them into SAP solutions
- Define industry typical business processes and map customer processes to the related process levels
- Design the architecture based on process requirements, application, and system landscape
- Develop high-level roadmaps in conjunction with team members including the project manager
Skills
- A minimum of 10 years SAP consulting experience in the Utilities Industry with a focus on the IS-U solution
- Broad knowledge of the SAP IS-Utilities Solution and deep industry expertise including best practices and business processes
- Ability to develop, implement, demonstrate, and test solutions to meet our customer's business requirements as needed
- Assist clients in achieving their Digital Transformation journey by leveraging S4HANA and helping define their strategic roadmaps
- Experience delivering solution reviews and making recommendations for customer's architecture
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead customer engagements at an executive level and manage teams within a project
- Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's Degree – Master's degree preferred but not required
- Prior experience with SAP implementations on private cloud or hyperscalers
- Experience in presales activities and ability to work with sales to produce a rough order of magnitude for scope items
- Experience in integration with other SAP Application areas
