A global IT services and consulting firm is seeking an accomplished SAP DTS Program Director to lead Data Transformation Services for large-scale S/4HANA enterprise modernization programs. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end data migration lifecycle — from strategy and scoping through cutover and hypercare — across Greenfield, Brownfield, and Bluefield transformations for Fortune 500 clients.
Must-Have Technical / Functional Skills
- Proven leadership of SAP Data Transformation Services (DTS) programs across the full data migration lifecycle: scoping, profiling, design, build, mock loads, cutover, and hypercare.
- Deep expertise in S/4HANA data migration approaches across Greenfield, Brownfield, and Bluefield (Selective Data Transition) scenarios.
- Hands-on command of SAP data migration toolsets, including SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services (BODS), SAP Information Steward, SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), and partner platforms such as Syniti ADMM.
- Strong working knowledge of data quality, master data harmonization, and enterprise data governance frameworks for SAP transformations.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate DTS workstreams into broader S/4HANA program governance, cutover planning, and risk management.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Data Transformation Services delivery for complex S/4HANA programs, accountable for scope, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.
- Drive presales pursuit support — solution shaping, effort estimation, and commercial constructs for DTS scope within enterprise S/4HANA opportunities.
- Define data migration strategy, methodology, and tooling for each engagement; oversee data conversion roadmaps aligned with overall transformation milestones.
- Govern data quality, profiling, validation, and reconciliation activities across multiple legacy source systems.
- Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and other functional workstream leads to align master and transactional data scope to business process design.
- Lead distributed onshore and offshore delivery teams; coach senior data architects and migration leads.
- Engage directly with client CIO, CDO, program sponsors, and executive steering committees on cutover readiness, risk, and value realization.
- Establish and enforce best practices, accelerators, and reusable assets across the DTS portfolio.
Qualifications
- Minimum 20 years of SAP consulting experience, including significant time in data migration and transformation services.
- Proven track record of leading at least three to five end-to-end S/4HANA data migration programs for global enterprises.
- At least 6 years in proposal development, business case creation, and large-scale program shaping.
- Demonstrated experience managing programs with 20+ resources across onshore and offshore delivery models.
- Strong command of S/4HANA data architecture, integration patterns, and clean-core principles.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 100% based on client needs.
