CTG is seeking to fill a SAP S/4HANA Production (PP-PI) & Integration Consultant position for our client. Location: Pittsburgh, PA Duration: 8 months Travel Time: 20% Pay Rate: $50.00/hour Duties: Implement and support SAP S/4HANA PP-PI (Production Planning for Process Industries) solutions aligned with business requirements Design and develop integration solutions between SAP and plant MES systems, as well as logistics and warehousing platforms Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders, shared services, and production sites to deliver scalable and efficient manufacturing solutions Provide subject matter expertise across all project phases, including design, configuration, testing, and go-live support Develop detailed functional specifications and support system integration and user acceptance testing Configure and maintain PP-PI components, including control recipe integration and process instructions Troubleshoot and resolve complex production-related system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations Lead evaluation, design, and implementation of enhancements and corrective actions for SAP production processes Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and create comprehensive technical and user documentation Ensure solutions align with best practices, emerging technologies, and enterprise architecture standards Skills: Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA PP-PI module configuration and functionality Deep knowledge of SAP integration technologies (RFC, BAPI, APIs, IDocs, SFTP) Proven experience integrating SAP with MES systems, including control recipes, process messages, and characteristic-based process instructions Solid understanding of production planning, execution, and control processes Knowledge of logistics and warehouse integration, including SAP EWM and RF technologies (preferred) Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and business stakeholders Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong collaboration skills with experience working in cross-functional and global teams Understanding of IT architecture, cloud environments, and ERP development frameworks Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on SAP PP-PI implementation and support experience Demonstrated experience with SAP S/4HANA production processes Proven track record integrating SAP with MES and logistics systems Experience working across full project lifecycles (design through deployment and support) Exposure to manufacturing environments; experience in process industries (e.g., chemical) preferred Preferred experience with SAP ABAP and/or Java/Web application development Familiarity with databases such as Oracle and SQL Server, including T-SQL, is a plus Experience with integrated production systems and manufacturing best practices preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
