Position Overview
The Navy ERP (SAP) Functional Analyst provides mission-critical support to the Department of the Navy's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system within a highly classified operational environment. Navy ERP is the Navy's authoritative SAP-based platform for financial management, logistics, and supply chain operations, enabling auditability, financial visibility, and real-time resource management in direct support of warfighter readiness.
This role operates within TS/SCI with polygraph constraints, supporting sensitive financial and logistics data while ensuring compliance with DoD financial regulations, cybersecurity controls, and operational governance requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
ERP Functional & Systems Analysis
- Provide senior-level functional analysis and operational support for Navy ERP (SAP), with emphasis on financial management and supply chain processes
- Analyze and translate mission, business, and operational requirements into SAP functional solutions
- Support system enhancements, upgrades, testing, and production deployment activities
- Serve as the functional SME interfacing between users, technical teams, cyber personnel, and leadership
Financial Operations & Audit Readiness
- Support ERP processes related to:
- Budget execution and funds control
- Financial accounting and reporting
- Inventory, logistics, and supply chain transactions
- Assist with audit readiness, internal controls, reconciliation efforts, and data validation
- Ensure ERP transactions comply with DoD financial policies, Navy business rules, and audit standards
- Support documentation and evidence required for financial reviews and audits
Cybersecurity, Compliance & Access Control
- Operate within classified environments supporting TS/SCI systems and data
- Support role-based access controls, segregation of duties, and periodic access reviews
- Coordinate with cybersecurity and governance teams to ensure ERP usage aligns with security requirements
- Maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance across ERP workflows
Stakeholder Engagement & Mission Support
- Provide guidance and system expertise to Navy stakeholders, leadership, and mission partners
- Participate in operational reviews, working groups, and classified briefings as required
- Develop and maintain functional documentation, SOPs, and training materials
- Support command priorities by ensuring ERP data is timely, accurate, and decision-ready
Required Qualifications (TS/SCI Mandatory)
- Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph (required at time of hire)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related discipline
- 8+ years of experience supporting ERP or enterprise business systems
- Hands-on functional experience with SAP ERP, including one or more of the following:
- Financial Accounting (FI)
- Controlling (CO)
- Materials Management (MM)
- Supply Chain / Logistics modules
- Experience supporting DoD or federal financial and logistics processes
- Strong ability to communicate with technical teams, business users, and senior leadership
- Proven experience working in classified or mission-critical environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience supporting Navy ERP
- Experience with DoD financial audit readiness initiatives
- SAP functional certification(s)
- Prior experience within cyber, intelligence, or operational command environments
- Familiarity with internal controls, governance frameworks, and compliance processes
