About the Role
A major aerospace organization in the Dallas area is undertaking a large‑scale SAP transformation and is seeking an experienced SAP PP/MM Consultant to support ongoing implementation, integration, and optimization efforts. This is a long‑term project with high visibility and the opportunity to work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead solution design, configuration, and implementation of SAP PP and MM modules within a complex manufacturing environment.
- Support integration between PP/MM and cross‑functional areas including QM, SD, PS, and Finance
. - Collaborate with engineering, operations, procurement, and production teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Drive process improvements related to planning, inventory, procurement, MRP, production execution, and shop‑floor workflows.
- Support testing cycles: SIT, UAT, regression testing, and integration testing.
- Assist with data migration activities, validation, cutover, and hyper‑care.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot issues related to SAP PP/MM configuration and interfaces.
- Work closely with technical teams on custom enhancements, reports, and forms (ABAP, integrations, IDocs, etc.).
- Document processes, functional designs, and configuration for project deliverables.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of hands‑on experience with SAP PP and MM configuration.
- Proven delivery experience in manufacturing‑heavy environments (aerospace, automotive, industrial, or discrete manufacturing preferred).
- Strong understanding of planning strategies, MRP, BOMs, routings, production orders, procurement, inventory management, and warehouse coordination
. - Experience working on full lifecycle SAP implementations (at least 2 E2E projects preferred).
- Ability to gather requirements and produce detailed functional specifications for development teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with business stakeholders.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (due to project requirements).
Desired Skills
- Experience with SAP Project Systems (PS).
- Strong data migration
/data validation experience within PP/MM objects. - Working knowledge of QM, SD, EWM, or APO/IBP is a plus.
- Aerospace or engineering industry experience.
