We are seeking a skilled SAP HANA Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist to manage and optimize master data processes supporting engineered-to-order production for hollow metal door manufacturing. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent, accurate, and high-quality master data across SAP S/4 HANA with a strong focus on materials, BOMs, routings, vendors, and customer configurations. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to drive data standards and enable efficient manufacturing workflows through expert use of SAP tools and variant configuration.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and govern master data objects including Material Master, BOMs, Routings, Work Centers, Vendors, and Customers in SAP S/4 HANA
- Define and enforce data standards specific to hollow metal door manufacturing, such as steel type, gauge, fire rating, and hardware requirements
- Manage complex product configurations using SAP Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC)
- Support data migration and cutover activities for new plant launches, system upgrades, and business expansions
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Distribution to ensure accurate and aligned master data
- Monitor data quality using SAP MDG, custom workflows, and validation tools
- Contribute to SAP integrations with PLM, Digital Manufacturing, and CAM systems
- Train internal teams on best practices for material data, variant tables, classifications, and dependencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of SAP Master Data experience in discrete manufacturing, preferably in building materials or metal fabrication
- In-depth knowledge of hollow metal door manufacturing components such as frame profiles, hardware, door cores, and fire labeling
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA, AVC, and MDG
- Familiarity with SAP MM, PP, DM, SD, and QM modules
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with cross-functional collaboration experience
- Preferred: Experience with ETO product configuration, UL/fire label data, and integrations with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or SolidWorks
